rosaki
rosaki - female - gold-collard macaw - 20 yrs old - GROUP - RANK
i wanna know the real you
Polite: When Rosa was born, her fathering mother taught her to be the most polite macaw in the cage, but also to have talons as a side effect. She takes this trait after her mother, of course, and takes this trait seriously with no doubt. If one abuses her politeness, the taught side effects will come into place. Blood will be drawn. This kitten's got claws~
Kind nature: This trait was not taught by her mother. Nor was it in her mother. The only respect for her mother was that she gave birth to Rosaki and fed her. She grew a kind nature to help others better than her mother did herself. Causing her to become sympathetic to other animal's failures, even to humans.
Intelligent: When it comes to lock picking, or making the right choice, send Rosa. She an expert at keeping things on track, even if the wheels are falling off. This trait seem that she was born with a brain of the gods, but in reality, she is just intelligent with life decisions. Predictions, most would say. She is a predictor but does not know the full number of pi. So don't take her as Albert Einstein, think of her as Oprah Winfrey.
Adaptable: This is one trait that can really fall into the hands of evil. Adapting is the key to survival, and in these cases of lifestyle, adapting is critical. Being born in a cage and then being let out for survival is like a heart explosion. You never know what you are going to get, then Mother Nature comes along and kicks you in the ass. She was born around 13 macaws, like a breeding center of some sort; only 3 macaws lived through the drastic change. And Rosaki was one of those three.
Tolerates others to an extent: A flaw is in hand with the so far perfect macaw. She can't stand anyone after a while of non-reasoning annoyance. One of her most feared of bumping in birds is a crow and a finch. The two most annoying birds in the city. She couldn't possibly think of being a full-blown mate with either of them. But that's beside the point. Her first trait, being polite, kind-a-sort-a disappears. Who said she had a bad side? It gives her time to make up her mind to either blow up in a puff of feather or dig deep into your feather covered skin. Tolerating others is a big skill, and she uses it wisely.

don't cry BECAUSE love is here
summary/past
Not only was it winter when she was born, but she was born in a snow storm. It was the 30mph snow storm, the fastest one in California all year. Snow pelted down on every bird behind their blankets. Thankfully, the owner brought every bird into the house. It was a savior, a chance for Rosaki. Later on in the afternoon, when the storm died down to a whopping 10mph, the owner gets a surprise of small egg laying under Casey, the mother of Rosaki. The stories Casey tells Rosaki say that the owner was disappointed yet surprised. Hi's words said that he thought Rosaki was a goner, but he risked saving Rosaki. Having a gold-collard Macaw was a prize possession for selling.
So the man cooked up the incubator and snugly dropped Rosaki into the large container. A day has passed and not a sign of life. He would occasionally check her egg with the light he had. It was almost 4 days now and he has given up hope. He put Rosaki lightly into the garbage, hoping she would hatch out of the egg right as he goes to throw something away.
One day, every bird in their cage, Casey more aggressively, flash and growl. Something has risen from the over-flowed garbage. So, like normal, the owner goes to inspect. With a gasp of delight, he sees a new-born macaw on the ground still moving from the fall. It was hopes call.
Rosaki grew, she grew to become the owner's number one bird. But sadly, he could not breed her or do anything for trade because she was to small. She was the size of a large teacup chihuahua, half of the average Gold-collard Macaw's size. Her mother towered her like a tree. She was kind enough to let the small chick into her cage again. Time changed throughout the years. The owner died from a heart attack after he let every one of the birds go in his house, with one window open. Most of them did not stay. The last to go was Rosaki and Casey. They felt guilty to step foot outside of their cage after the owner passed away, still decaying on the floor.
But they left. Rosaki never heard from all of her flock. The occasional letters from her friendly pigeons by her sibling Iggy, but that is it. Her mother disappeared after she found one of the macaws that escaped from the house. She was in-love with him before, now they can choose to stay together forever. And they did, then she died. He was left without her, so was Rosaki and Iggy. Rosaki came across Iggy in a large oak tree where she has torn a wing, dangling from the branches. Rosaki felt so sympathetic that she stayed till Iggy healed. Off they went to a new place called Vilas. They passed the gorgeous Disappearing Forest, weaving through Respects Abandoned, and landing in the Old Forge Home. The only structure they are familiar with is a small building which humans live in like they did.

Dear Diary, another day with Iggy and it will be the last. She had annoyed me for the passed week about this male crow she has met at the Respects Abandoned, where I tell her not to go. Such bull-headed behavior. She needs to learn her place! I may be small, and she may be older, but that does not give her the right to do stupid decisions. It takes a lot to grow maturity and shitting on the sidewalk is not how you earn it. I mean honestly, I do it occasionally, but that's beside the point. Young ones can make better decisions than older ones. And that is my case right here, Diary. She closes her sloppy written book she brought 7 weeks ago from California. It was the last thing she remembers of her owner. Her personal diary, and some history of the owner as well.
She looks outside the window with her pale red eyes. She's growing sick and needs help from a human, not an older sister who doesn't know what she is actually doing. Rosaki has picked all the feathers she has on her tail, she's at the point of being balled. She can't take much more of this lifestyle without a human. What a shame it is. "I just want to be normal again. This is all wrong. Why did I leave?" She knocks her head on the windowsill next to her. She hangs her head with her large black beak, resting it on it's tip. "Just relax, Rosaki. Relax..." Rosaki lets loose of her wings.
They dangle off the edge of the dresser she sits on. Her black talons dig into the soft wood to keep herself balanced. What she notices outside the window was a small hummingbird. It was blue with an orange belly, yellow shoulders, and a green tinge. It was quite beautiful. Rosaki raises her head and puts her beak against the window and stares at it. "What are you looking at?" The humming bird says, flapping it's wings 70 time per second. Rosaki realizes she was staring at him, not looking at him. She snaps into reality, "I uh....sorry. Your markings are just very pretty." She lifts her wings up and stands correctly, pulling her head back and putting out her chest in respect. "Oh. Thanks." The hummingbird flies away. Rosaki sighs and carries on her day waiting for Iggy.
