Haze
haze - female - Belgian shepherd - 4 years - GROUP - RANK
i wanna know the real you
personality
Haze appears to be a negative, quiet and grim canine as she often lurks in the shade, actually just cooling off her dark-colored pelt. She talks in times of need, usually nodding and using signals instead. She can seem a bit cold, but when near close friends, Haze will talk freely and comfortably, more than glad to fight for those close to her. Haze at times, will take any rude comments as a compliment and will shrug off any of the sort, turning tables and turning the negative into positive unless ticked off enough to find herself in a brutal fight.
Having a terrible hot-headed temper, Haze will snap and switch easily, despite the fact that she does seem bashful and quiet. Although Haze is a skilled and talented Belgian Shepherd, she unfortunately isolates herself from the other canines, knowing what a selfish and brute canine she is. At times she wishes for the world to be quiet like snow, and hearts to be warmer.

don't cry BECAUSE love is here
summary/past
Haze isn't too fond of her past, being a nostalgic fellow, she often pushes her thoughts of the past aside and rarely thinks about it. No sappy story here! xD Haze lived the life of any normal canine would, raised with a loving family. Although they weren't the best, it was better than most. Old age consumed Haze and her sister's parents, and they later found themselves swept upon the streets, not exactly sure how their parents had gotten enough food for them to never know hunger. Separated into different pounds, due to the fact they were brought into pounds at different times, Haze never really got to see her fellow sister anymore.
Once in the pound, there were two other canines that she found quite nice, for she had considered them friends until they left the pound, being adopted. Keeping a wide and bright smile at all times throughout the story, Haze began to frown and flatten her ears at the unfortunate events given. Luck soon helped Haze roam freely from the pound, and she now lives typically as a loner or stray. Not exactly sure where to go, she roams the claimable areas along with the pack-lands in hope of luck for finding her sister somewhere along there.

roleplay example
Haze's hackles arose as the human tossed some sort of mechanical device around her neck; it appeared to be a silver stick with a rope attached to the end. Only getting a brief glimpse of it, the round hole tightened, fitting around her neck. As the human continued to tighten it with his for-paws, she stopped struggling in hopes it wasn't a choke chain and followed the worthless pint to his car. She wished for a choice, not for some rope around her neck. Haze's brows furrowed as she was dragged to the back seat and pushed into a cage.
The car smelled of other canines as she sniffed the air around her. Her lips curled mellowly as she began to bark, the sounds echoing around the car as she hoped for a reply from the other canines. It was stale, but she took her chances and was desperate. She knew what they'd do to her once she got out of the vehicle. "Hush back there!" Haze heard one of them snap. Her tail tucked itself between her back legs, informing Haze to simply stop and wait for her chance.
She was growing impatient as she leaned against the cage she was in, awfully tired and sleepy. It wouldn't hurt, would it? Her eyes closed for a moment, quickly followed by her neck being pulled on again. Haze drowsily snapped at whatever source it was followed by. "It bit me!" It screeched to the others. Haze's eyes widened as she realized she had drawn blood from the hand of another human. She let out a long sigh as they pushed her against the cage, digging a needle into her scruff.
Her eyes pried open, awoken from the sounds of many barking. She turned to see that she was in one of those "pounds" again. A shame it was, knowing that it was just luck last time she escaped. She sighed once again, leaning against the cold metal cage walls. The same four walls. She looked beyond the cage and into the one next to hers, watching as a canine was able to touch the lock with his measly paws. A wide smile washed over Haze's face as she rolled out her tongue.
