The sun but a gentle glow over the horizon, and the darkness of night fall had begun to creep across the fringes of the eastern skies. The twilight threw a blanket of cool air over the trees, chasing out the heat, and all of the forest seemed to let forth a sigh of relieve. The forest seemed desolate, as if a peaceful trance had been through over it. There was not a sound, but for the occasional chirp of a bird, or the shiver of leaves above. But if one listened closely, they could hear the faint, almost inaudible paw-falls broke the serene silence.
A lone, agile figure stalked through the foliage, causing bushes to shiver as she passed them. Paws of a faint tan color grace the forest floor with their presence as their owner’s hazel gaze scans the timberland about him. His cream-colored fur, however dirty it was, possessed a healthy shine to it, seeming almost luminous in the crepuscular light. The said female inhaled, smelling the air, while wagging her tail in a slightly stiff manner. Though the suburbs lay still, as if dead, the air was alive with many of the scents, carried to her upon the cool evening.

The slithering serpent just begun his escape from one of the steaming houses, sweltering an empty. His scales are brown, for they where black from healthiness. His black eyes are now gray, hazed with a somberly sadness of no escape from his tall glass cage. Even then, he is out. His whereabouts will be dangerous, for him and others. Although he might just be a regular Desert Phase Cal King, this long snake is not one to be scared of. His temper is one to watch. Kingsnakes in general have a very random way of showing affection, and that involves biting. He will snap at any passing creature for no reason, just for entertainment some guess. Just because he seems fearless, he shows it clearly that he is scared of everything. The young male stretched his body to glide across the boiling cement, burning his underbelly scales. "I must get out of this situation!" He hissed and slithered over to a green grass, cool enough for his body to stay natural temperature. The only worry he had for being in the grass was the ants that have taken over Vilas. The black, now brown, and white snake looked with his gray eyes to find a good spot to be safe in. His black tongue flicked frantically, engulfing the scents around him to keep aware of his surroundings. Liouse notices a scent in the air he was familiar with, a canine. It was a female canine with the stench of dirt and garbage. He felt the ground and measured the distance of the canine, it was a couple of feet away, enough for him to coil up and wait for it to wander on his direction. He hoped the canine would not think he is some sort of threat or toy and to actually kill him. That he did not want. As the canine's paws quietly made it's way over to him, he sat still. It was a calm canine that didn't seem to notice him. The canines paws came closer, "EXCUSE YOU!" He blurted outrageously. As he hissed, he struck out in front of himself and turned his body around, slithering into a new spot to coil up in. His scales became lively, darkening as his cold blood rushed to his mouth. Sadly, he was not big enough to eat the canine even though he was starving. Either this dog keeps walking, makes conversation, or runs away, he is fine with all of the above. Again, with the reminder of being eaten alive or battered around still crossed his mind. His now black orbs stared at her intensely, watching her every move. Whatever move he does not find appropriate, he will snap at. Word Count| 454 Muse: 7/10 Notes: You kept putting he/his instead of she/hers. So I got a little confused... :I I might be a little confusing as well.

Haze lifted herself to the large trashcan as she stood to her hind legs. Nuzzling the white plastic bag that smelled of sweet bones from the marinating, she treated herself to it. She tilted her head and reached forward with her jaws, grasping the heavy bag by its bow and plopped onto the cold cement. Haze settled down beside the trash can and attempted to loosen the bow but intently hesitated as a peculiar thought crossed her mind.
Looking at her lunch, she spoke aloud. "Something this good should be eaten in a proper place.." She murmured beneath her breath to herself, looking around in hopes that no one was listening to her babble. Muffled, she arose from her seat and padded through the aisle. Her ears twitched as she listened to her nails clink, but it wasn't essential at the moment when she was reminded of her hunger by her roaring stomach. Turning to the left, greenery overflowed and filled the scene. Haze flattened her ears in complete satisfaction as the cool grass met her firmed paws. Looking around the calming view, she squinted as she met a rather light figure. Quickening her pace, she paused as she met a long fellow.
Taking a step forward, it appeared to be a snake of the sort. Taking her fore paw, she poked the creature to see if it was provoked.
