Ah, his life seemed to be perfect right now. It was nice weather, he had a nice nest and right now no one traipsing in to bother him. How wonder- "Excuse me? A-are you Krakarak?" The large black bird that had been sitting in his nest high in the rafters of the store opened his dark eyes. Their stare lowered until they found the owner of the voice that had spoken, a small brown mouse that stared fearfully up at his powerful beak. The dark bird's eyes narrowed in annoyance which caused the mouse to tremble in fear. It's tiny paws clenched tightly around a shiny silver earring as it ducked its head and extended the item upwards toward the bird as if it would keep him at bay. Now Krakarak looked slightly less annoyed and more interested.
"Yes. Krak Krak! I am Krakarak. What are you wanting, mouse?" His eyes locked onto the silver earring that the mouse held and his talons clenched the branches of his nest. He wanted to own that item badly. "Well, um... my mate is very sick, Mr. Krakarak. She has a horrible cough and her voice is very raspy and she is racked with fever. What should I do?" Krakarak's head tilted to the side as he thought, a while ago he'd lived near a cat that was quite the healer and with his nature he'd eavesdropped and learned a lot from the animal. Now that information came back to his mind and he knew exactly what to tell the mouse. "Your mate seems to have the flu. Let her rest, feed her well. Krak Krak! She'll get better... maybe." The mouse nodded, he was visibly upset about the diagnosis but happy to get some advice at last, so he put the earring down on the wood in front of Krakarak's nest and prepared to leave. [/span] "One more thing. Krak Krak! Find some tansy, give it to her. It will also help with her fever and cough." With that he picked up the earring and fell silent, leaving the mouse to scamper away with a small "thanks".
Now maybe he would get some rest. So, he settled down into his nest once again and prepared to sleep but of course it wasn't that easy. He heard some noise below him, like a scratching sound. "CAW CAW CAW! Everyone shut up!" His voice was annoyed as he sat down with his eyes staring out, trying to annoy whatever noise was starting flare up in a louder frequency.

Another dawn, another day. Another storm sweeps away. The petal brush fall no more, hence there is no flower no bush to adore. "No, that doesn't sound right. Ugh...." The macaw squawks and puffs her feathers in frustration. The sun was going down and she has had no sign of her know-it-all sister. Maybe it was time to head out and find where she has gone. The sun's orange glow hits the trees as they giggle in the height of victory. Where the song birds perch and sleep at night. Where the crickets digs wholes under their mighty roots that embed the ground for safety. "Oh the-" the macaw looks at the door that is cropped open. Had someone come in? She turns her head in curiosity and brings herself level to the ground, inching her way with her beak and claws. She hears the clattering of what sounded like hooves and the huffs of nostrils and lungs. It sounds like a dear... she puffs her colored feathers and walks starkly down the dresser. Then she realizes she is abandoning her diary, her key to self control. She grabs it by it's leather ribbon and pulls it against her. "Stay close to me..." she mutters and clicks her beak. "Hello?" She looks around the corner and the prediction of a dear was wrong, it was nothing actually. The door only popped open. Am I paranoid or something? she thinks to herself. Rosa flies over to the cracked door and closes it just with her toes. Then it thought hit her, she should go out and look for Iggy. Right as she closed the door, she rustles her feathers and pulls the door back open. Her diary dangles from it's leather string and pulls extra weight down on the sickly bird, making her drop a foot as she let go of the handle and made it outside. When the sun shines on Rosa, her book glistened. It's silver casing cast a white light over every object in the forest. That glorious sun will last no more as the moon and clouds begin to move in. Respects Abandoned. Damn that place for existing... As anyone would know, Rosa does not like the Respects Abandoned Mall. It was something about it that made her weary of passing onto that cement. Today is the day she concurs that fear. Her strong beak pulls the book to a comfortable spot on the edge of her mouth and she flies with the bits of power left in her. Her wings flap harder, her tail doesn't stay steady, and her book is heavier than she remembered. Gnats on her body would constantly chew into her soft warm skin for a pleasure of the macaw. "Iggy? Iggy?!" Rosa calls as she finds herself at Respects Abandoned. Her heart beats like a mouse's. "Iggy, get out here! I'm getting worried!" She doesn't get a reply. But what she does here are these same words at the pitch she recognizes, "CAW CAW CAW! Everyone shut up!" It was an annoying crow. Ugh...I hate crows. Before she finished the sentence, she falls to the ground on top of her book. Rosaki has no energy left in her. She is on the brink of death. Without assistance, she would die like her mother did. She doesn't want to die at such a short life-span. So she does what she was suppose to do by instinct, call for help. "Scree! Help, ouch!" she cries. Word Count|579

"Scree! Help, ouch!" Stupid scratching sound. Stupid loud animals. Stupid information beggars! That was it! He wasn't going to stand for being disturbed anymore he was going to go down and give whoever was crawling around and screeching a piece of his mind! Granted, this bird --for what other animal could make a screeching sound like that?-- must be a great actor to give out a despairing cry like it did. Though the "ouch" tagged on at the end was completely unneeded in his eyes.
The annoyed raven stood up in his nest, ruffled his feathers to show his state of agitation, flapped his wings once for good measure then glided down to the ground where he'd heard the sound coming from. When he landed on the ground in front of the bird his heart nearly stopped. There was a very brightly colored bird on the ground before him, she was a brilliant green with gold that accented her neck feathers. Absolutely gorgeous! He was only used to dark colored ravens so a bird --perhaps it was a parrot-- something like this was completely out of the ordinary. What was even more out of the ordinary was the state that this particular bird was in. She seemed almost on the brink of death... guess she wasn't faking for attention after all.
"Krakaw! How did you come to be this way, parrot? You seem to be in a terrible condition."He looked shrewdly at the bright bird with his sharp, intelligent eyes. Quite by accident he caught sight of something shiny that the female was holding, some sort of book. He didn't care about that, he just cared that the book was very bright (like the female) and shiny. So, his fertile brain hatched up a scheme. A scheme that would get him what he wanted and what he was sure that the female wanted or at least partly what she wanted. "Perhaps you need a place to rest up for a while, yes?"His dark eyes were crafty as he looked at green bird, trying to keep his eyes from the book.

She rolled her red eyes up at him in annoyance, but kept her polite manor. "Parrot? Uh...yes please." She groans and tries to lift her large wings, they only levitate off the ground. "I'm a macaw actually.... You're a crow right?" She blinks her red eyes tightly. She clutches her diary tighter and lifts herself off the ground. Her toes scrape across the cracked cold cement, dulling her soft nails. With one jump, she stood. Her feathers frill to make her look larger than she naturally is.
She looks into the crows deep black ebony eyes, she could see he was annoyed but yet impressed by something. She pulls the book out from under her chest swinging it rapidly around her body and props it on it's spine. The book accidentally falls open. With a gasp, she quickly recover it by closing the book. She grips the opening edge with her right foot's toes and clamps it shut. Rosa shakes her body and feathers float in the air. The sky begins to grow darker as time passed by. She still needed to find her sister. "H-have you seen a macaw bigger than me fly by? She's my sister and her name is Iggy. I need her to come home before the storm approaches." It didn't seem to be as if a storm was coming, no black clouds where near. But the night sky was engulfing the bright blue day.
Rosa analyzed the crow. He seemed very feral, skinny, not as healthy, and had the attitude of an egoist. That she did not like. But one thing appealed to her eyes was the fact his feathers where in between black, purple, and gray. A color she has never seen on a crow before. Rosaki bobs her head and lowers it to him, "I am Rosaki, by the way..." She screeches as her neck cracks and pops. The air sockets are giving out between her bones and tendons. She is not that old, but she is sickly, and that is what happens when a bird stays inside and does not move half the day and abnormally writes with their neck muscles and beak.

A macaw? He'd heard mention of them once but he'd never been able to meet one himself. Now that he could put the looks to a face he thought them very pretty. Why couldn't ravens be bright colors like that? Well... other ravens, not him because in his mind his feathers were perfect as they were. However, to have a brightly colored raven mate would be absolutely gorgeous. Why, he'd be the envy of every other male in the vicinity!
He watched her vainly attempt to raise her wings, only to groan and look at him. At the mention of "crow" Krak's beak clacked together loudly in irritation and his eyes narrowed. Unlike the macaw in front of him he was not good at any sort of tolerant politeness. "How about this? Krak Krak! I won't call you a parrot if you won't call me a crow." His voice wasn't exactly friendly as one of his pet peeves was being mistaken for a crow. "Hmph, crows. Filthy, savage beasts! Annoying and loud as well! I would be most happy if you didn't mistake me for one. I am a raven." His head lifted proudly at his last sentence. In his opinion ravens were much more civilized and tolerable than annoying crows... even though others would disagree.
When she leaped up he took a step back, allowing her to have more room. Her neck frilled, emphasizing the yellow-colored feathers, despite himself he found his eyes watching them. Curse his weakness to bright things! Speaking of which the macaw pulled the shiny book that he'd seen a few minutes prior out from under her green chest and immediately Krakarak was caught. So beautiful it was! His eyes were locked and he subconsciously took a step forward. When the macaw finally spoke again he had to shake his head a few times and blink to regain his focus. Even so he stood stupidly for a few seconds trying to compose his thoughts. "Another macaw? Hmm... Krak Krak! I haven't seen another, sorry. But this is a big place, perhaps someone else has seen her." Here he paused to vainly puff out his chest. "I'm rather well-known around here so if I ask for information I'm sure I'll get it. Krak Krak!" Which was for the most-part was true though his "asking" would probably be flying around and listening to others' conversations.
The other bird bobbed her head to him and he moved to mirror her action but he swiftly stopped when the bones in her neck popped. He cawed loudly and fluttered into the air for a few moments in surprise before he lowered himself back to the ground in front of her. He quickly tried to regain his composure by preening his chest feathers. No need to look silly and scared in front of the macaw, right?
He walked his way to her side and peered at her with his dark eyes. "Rosaki? Can you make it to my nest? It is up there." With one wing he pointed up to the rafters where his nest lay. ]"I can maybe help you with medicine, if you'd like. Krak Krak!" He was curious as to how the female ended up in such a state but his questions could wait until they were safe in a nest. He wouldn't admit it out loud but Krakarak was really a coward and wasn't completely confident staying on the ground so long with a sick bird.

"Wait...excuse me? You're not a-" She quickly retracts her question. It was fair that she wouldn't want to be called a parrot. Although, he looked familiar like a raven, she was sure he was a crow. She wasn't confused at all, she knew he was disgusted by what he is and has too much a self-centered ego to believe of what he is. It all makes sense now, his attitude around others, the way he flaunts his self, all of what had just happened in the last 20 minutes. 20 minutes late for searching for Iggy. "You seem to know a lot about crows." she had a tad of a smile as she spoke, but it wasn't a greeting for a thank you type smile. More of a ironic smiles to describe.
Is he stupid or something? He thinks he's a raven. Ugh, average behavior of crows. They need to stop being cowards of their kind and stand tall like us macaws do. They have nice colors, but not nice personalities. That goes along with their tiny brain. I can see him looking at my silver diary. I know he wants it. He's not going to have it though, stupid.
She cocks her head and her eyes lightened with glee,"Well buckle my buttons! Raaah! Grleee! Oh...." That was the first time in a while has she ever said those words. 'buckle my buttons' is what her owner use to say. He said that when anything good happens to him. She use to repeat it and he would always say that around her. The crowing part was new for her, she has never done the regular macaw sounds in her life unless she imitates them. Was she becoming feral? Instinct of excitement? Only time with explain. "Eh...please. I'd like to know where she is..." She hopes that the crow's attitude won't break her of her respectful and polite manor. He seems to be annoyed that this time because she called him out of what he is.
Rosa turns around to where the male crow pointed, looking up a medium sized tree at the 10th lowest branch. It was too small of a nest for herself, but if she were o be a full sized grown female macaw, she would have not been able to fit a wing in it with another partner. She nods slightly, her neck popping. One thing and the only thing she saw in the nest was shining medal. He seems to have a hording problem, a bad hording problem. Hi nest does seem like it could fit a bird, nonetheless two. But a try she can do. Hopefully she doesn't end up being stabbed by some knife he found lying around and cherishes it at the door way to the nest.
She looks at the crow one more time, to answer his statement. It was glory to her ears. Help. What she needed. Yes, crows can be annoying, but they are very resourceful. She had to have medical help or she will die with misery and loneliness, like her mother. "Well buckles my buttons again! Rah!" She flaps her wings, colored feathers float around the both of them. As they fall, the setting sun shines through them, casting a gorgeous light through the colored feathers. They spin around, causing a heap of colors creating a disco like theme. One style Rosaki loves. Her large wings cast a shadow over the crow, this was the peak of her beauty. If she had all of her feathers she would be a breathless site. She waves her beak and lets looks of her tail feathers, they create a train around her small body, like a bridle dress train.
She compacts all she let loose for those second into her tighter posture. One moment of pure beauty, literally a moment. "Thank you for your help, Raven. I never got your name. Do you mind telling me?" Surprisingly, all the crowing and cawing of the crow was annoying yet thankful. Sh needed some excitement in her life again. Some annoyance. A bitter taste of disliking. Krakarak inclined an eyebrow --if such a feat is really possible with birds-- when the macaw started to pose a new question, presumably about the truthfulness of his statement about being a raven. If she had asked another question about his species then he would have flown off the handle, no pun intended, as it was though she only gave a simple observation. "Yes. I've had the displeasure of living close to a flock of them. Krak Krak! Needless to say I swiftly moved." The flock had been in his previous forest home and as soon as he was able he moved locations. The silly things had been loud at all hours of the day and initially they'd tried to steal some of his items but he quickly put a stop to that with his superior size and strength. A raven was more than a match for a few crows. "Well buckle my buttons! Raaah! Grleee! Oh...." His head tilted to the side in confusion at this strange exclamation. Buckle her buttons? He knew what buttons were and he knew how to buckle them from watching humans but birds didn't have buttons. He was about to make a remark on this but Rosaki deterred his questions with her next statement. He smiled winningly at the female, his eyes glanced over the diary briefly, but this time he managed to put his gaze on the female's red one. "Of course, of course. Krak Krak! If I had a missing friend I'd want to find them too. Though, information has a cost..." He let his sentence trail off meaningfully as he eyed the shining book again. However, he said no more on the subject of her missing friend. The same strange words came from the female as she showed her joy at being offered a place to rest. She fluttered into the air in a beautiful display that had Krakarak enraptured. His eyes were attracted to the sunlight glinting off of her feathers and her large, beautiful tail put knots in his belly. No female raven that he'd seen had ever been that beautiful. He was nearly frozen in place until a few green feathers with sunlight glinting off of them caught his attention. Quickly he fluttered briefly into the air to grab them with his sharp talons before landing back on the ground. The moment of beauty was over and the macaw before him was again the sickly bird he'd first met. No matter, he had the feathers which would remind him of the beauty of bright birds. "These will do nicely for payment for the search." He raised one foot so that he could admire them up close. "Thank you for your help, Raven. I never got your name. Do you mind telling me?" He lowered his foot and stared straight at the macaw with his classic haughty expression. "I am Krakarak. Krak Krak!" His head turned swiftly in the direction of his nest then back at the female macaw. She was large like him but his nest was only built for one. That could be a problem... "I foresee some nest building because we are both rather large, yes?" He didn't say it out loud but with his hoarding habit and the offerings that he received from others his nest was a little bit crowded so an expansion was past due. - "i'm talking"

She looks up at the now black tree. The sun has now set. It was too late. Rosa was hoping that she would finder her lost sister before night, but it's already that time. A morning search will have to happen. She can wake up strait in the morning. Ya! at the crack of dawn I will get out of this nest ad search for her. Though...I don't know how I will do that with my issues and this two pound diary. She sighs and curls her head into her chest. What am I going to do.... She sighs.
The crow speaks his name, it sounded familiar but she can't pin-point it. Has she heard it from her older sister? Most likely. But he has never seen her, or so he said. What is she doing, she is trusting a damned crow! Not another macaw like herself, or a respectful stork like the one she saw at the pond next to the tree her sister was rehabilitated in. Crows are just as mean as vultures, and just as annoying as finches. The ultimate fusion. Speaking of vultures. What are they circling? It was to dark for her to see and they would most likely see her as a meal than a friendly neighbor.
"Well, Krakarak, maybe we will expand it tomorrow? Tonight is to late and I won't be able to leave tomorrow because of my crash landing." Rosa grunts to the word krakarak. I sound like a fooking crow! Rosa, half the time, doesn't notice she uses her owners slang. The word fook is actually 'fuck' but Scottish. He found it funny and used it to joke around or curse. Rosa was no where near the Scottish language, neither was her owner. She looks at Krakarak and replies to his third to last comment, "They are just feathers, Krakarak. Nothing special in my opinion." It was a mystery why the crow grabbed her feathers and admired them. But that was not of her concern.
She looks up the medium sized tree. Yeah, I can do this. she thinks as she begins to jab into the bark with her sharp beak. She wraps her dull claws around the drunk, thrashing her wings rapidly to keep off the ground. She extends her neck forwards, stabbing the next step up the tree. Since her claws were dull, her grip was weak. She was depending on her wings and beak to keep her glued to the tree and above gravity's demanding to fall. The first branch, 8 feet off the ground. She is exhausted. "Um....I think I will sleep here tonight. I can't climb anymore. I have no more energy." She regains her breathe and relaxes her wings. Word Count| 455 KEY:- "i'm talking" #3c992f

Krakarak waited silently as the time passed, Rosaki was obviously thinking so he would allow her to do so. If she decided to take his help or not he didn't care now because he had his payment. The beautiful feathers were a magnificent prize, he would tuck them into the branches of his nest and his other items would reflect off of them gorgeously. He couldn't wait!
Finally she spoke and Krak nodded at her words. "Yes yes, you will need much rest. Perhaps I should go alone to search for information on your sister's whereabouts tomorrow? Krak Krak! It would allow you to sleep a bit longer." Alternatively he could just fly off and leave her to the other carrion birds but that would be completely dishonest. Something that a crow would do, not a noble raven like him. Besides, not only would the feathers brighten up his nest but she would too.
"They are only feathers to you but you don't see them like a raven does. Kraaa! If only you could." Maybe his love for bright and shiny items were a weakness but it was a weakness that he sometimes enjoyed. Other birds that didn't have the weakness to shiny items just wouldn't understand how attractive they were.
The macaw grabbed the bark with her curved beak and hauled her way up the trunk. He bobbed his head once to her before saying, "I'll see you at the top." With that he flapped his wings and flew up to his nest where he sat perched on the side, waiting for Rosaki to come up to his level. His wait was in vain though because she stopped at a lower branch and stated that she could no longer go on. He should have expected this with the state she was in. "If you insist. Krak Krak! How about this? You sleep there tonight and in the morning I'll wake you so you can sleep more in my nest? Does that sound good?" He peered down at her with his dark eyes for a moment before busying himself with tucking the feathers he'd collected into the branches of his nest.

Rosaki stared at him softly, for exhaustion had taken the best in her. Her wings were sore, limp, and weak to do anything else. At least some help would be a god's sake. the crow had a bit of a pleasure in helping her. How can a crow such as 'his highness' be helping me? I am obviously useless to him... She looks down at the ground. If a chick were to fall from it's nest, it was surely to die in 24 hours. But that would mean it would have broken a bone or be eaten by ants. The macaw thought about the ants. They can climb trees like it's natural. She has to worry about mites as well. And ticks! She is a sickly bird hanging from a tree branch. She has to make it to his nest or she will be eaten alive, or worse. She looks at him and answers "Um..actually. I changed my mined. Will it be alright if I could sleep up there?" She was afraid for a 'no' answer, but she would feel awkward for a 'yes' answer as well. That would mean she would have to sleep next to the crow. For all she knows he could make clicking noises in his sleep and keep her up. Or he would stay up all night and pile silver stuff all on top of her. Or he could kick her out of the nest while he's asleep! The thought ruffles her feathers. But she'd rather sleep next to a crow than be eaten alive. With one large breath, she takes in energy. She leaps up onto her toes and flaps her large wings. She focuses on each tree limb and bounces one to another, making sure to hit them precisely. The last branch to hop before she makes it to the nest. It was a success. She is finally at the nest. Her racing heart quickly dies down into an exhausted and tiresome one. Slow and steady, slow enough for her to sleep relaxed a bit. She looks at the crow with her red eyes, his black ones seemed a bit tired a well, but that could just be a shadow or a trick of the eye. She is tired after all. Rosa then looked into the nest, silver, gold, tin, and any shining object that can be carried by a bird was in his nest. It looked like a pack-rat nest! How can a bird with her size sleep in such a cramped nest? She would have been better off sleeping on that branch below. But at least the nest was soft though. And if it were to be cold, she would have the crow and the nest's insulation to keep her toasty. She must always look at the bright side. Word Count| 473 KEY:- "i'm talking" #3c992f

Apparently his idea about waking her up in the morning didn't sit well with the macaw. Sleep in the nest with him for the night? It was only large enough for himself, with her added into it it would be a tight fit. "Kraaa?" He grunted out lowly in surprise. He hadn't expected her to ask such a thing, especially when she didn't seem all too thrilled to have met a raven. His eyes roved back to her and her silver book, oh, he would have compensation before all of this was over. "Well... I suppose you can..." His words had barely left his beak before Rosaki was making her way up to his nest.
He moved over as much as he could to make room for the large bird but even then it was a tight fit. Tomorrow he would definitely have to go out and do an expansion if the colorful female was to stay for more than one night. He blinked and glanced at her, not sure how he felt about that. He shook his head and cleared his thoughts as his eyes bored into the female's red ones, he wondered how she felt now. Was she contemplating on leaving? If she left would she leave any more feathers for him to grab? One could hope.
Finally he looked away and silently tucked his beak into his dark breast feathers as he prepared to sleep. He tried to pretend that the other bird wasn't so close next to him but that was no use for his nest was never this warm with just him and while the extra warmth was pleasant it was strange, he wasn't altogether sure if he liked it or not.
It had been a long day and he wanted nothing more than to sleep it all away. Tomorrow would be another big day because he'd need to wake early and ask the residents of the store if they'd seen another macaw.

When dawn broke over the land the nest was already empty of one bird. Krakarak had gone to ask the various residents of the store if they'd seen another macaw. His first few interviewees had seen nothing but by chance he happened upon a magpie that said he'd seen a bright green bird flying away with a crow a day or so ago. Krakarak had curtly thanked the bird and was back to his nest right before the sun had reached its peak, he would have been back earlier but a few animals had stopped him for advice and he also found himself distracted by a shiny pen cap which was now clutched in his beak as he sat in front of his nest staring at the macaw. Would she wake or would she remain sleeping, if she was asleep now? He wanted to get on with his nest expansion.

Morning already and the macaw was out of her cage flying over to her owner in the kitchen who was cooking fresh eggs from his farm hens. He smiles at her every time she goes through the arch into the musky kitchen. All the other macaws were well into their morning slumber, but Rosa can't wait for this day. She will finally go to a bird pageant. Just like everyone else in the house, she will be a star. Her owner calls her pretty enough to be in the pageant, why will she not win? The golden collard macaw sweeps through the arch doorway and lands on the fridge against the wall. Her owner turns around, but he is not smiling at all. The eggs are not eggs either, they are chicks. HE KILLED CHICKS! His heart was clearly broken. He has boiled two chicks over a 140 degree burner before he could eat them. No, he wasn't crying, but he certainly was upset. Then the strange happened, every bird in the house started cawing loudly, banged on their door bells and toys, rubbed their beaks on their cage bars and hissed aggressively. It sounded like a nightmare. The windows started to turn dark like the night, it was already 12:00am, middle of the night. What on earth happened? Her owner looked at her angry, furious. He grabs her by the legs and picks her up, then puts his body against her onto a wall. She could feel his heat waving into hers, then she feels nothing. She's cold, no hot anymore. ------------------------------------------ Rosaki wakes up gasping, her body is covered in extreme heat. Why am I so hot? Her energy has dropped dramatically then she thought before. Was she dying? Then she notices that Krakarak has left the nest. Was he the chilling relief from the heat? She looks down from the nest and sees no sign of him. Has he..., Rosaki then remembers her diary, a perfect time to write in it! She pulls it out from under her and opens it up. The book's faces lifts up from the small nest's edges, making the pages fold over. She pulls out one foot and puts it on the folding diary pages. She gets the pen that is embedded in a pen hold at the back of the book. It shines gold and has leather wrappings around the middle of it. Rosa clamps her toes and claws around the edge and then uses her beak to steer. Dear Diary, I have found myself in a nest with a confused crow that thinks he's a damned raven. I haven't found Iggy yet and I think I'm....dying. I don't know how long my body can last in this condition; sunken eyes, no feathers, hardly eating, and the occasional body slams to the ground from my wing strength. I'm growing so weak...At least I have assistance from the crow. But for now, he is gone out of the nest to somewhere and I will rest for a little bit longer. I woke up with a terrible fever. She closes the diary and puts it back under her, she then curls back up and sleeps again. But before she dozed off completely, Krakarak shows up at the nest. Rosa lifts her head and looks at him with her red eyes. "Where have you been? Were you out searching for my sister?" She hopes for a 'yes' because there would be no other excuse besides expanding the nest or giving her medical help. Word Count| 585 KEY:- "i'm talking" #3c992f

The macaw must have been a light sleeper or already awake for her eyes came open when he landed in front of her. "Where have you been? Were you out searching for my sister?" He blinked his eyes at her but instead of answering straightaway he hopped forward onto the edge of the nest so that he could drop the pen cap right into it. When he did this he noticed the elevated temperature that Rosaki seemed to have. Had she gotten sicker over night? Well, that wouldn't do at all, he'd have to use the same remedy he'd told the mouse to use ironically. "Yes, I was out getting information. Krak Krak! It seems that your sister left with a crow a day or so ago." He clacked his beak together distastefully as he stepped out of the nest onto the tree limb. "She has very poor taste in mates if you ask me. Crows are most annoying. Krak!" He stood for a moment and studied the nest, he would have a lot of work to do today. Especially since the macaw was sicker and wouldn't be able to help his expansion at all. "You're sicker, Rosaki. I'll go get something for your fever. Wait here." As if she'd be going anywhere in her weakened state. The raven flew a minutes outside of the store as he searched for the tansy. Fortunately, it wasn't too far from his home as the humans loved to plant the beautiful flowers. Krakarak could see why, the yellow flower was quite pretty. It was a surprise that he hadn't collected some for decoration already. So the raven grabbed a couple of plants in his talons and carried them back towards his home but on his way back he spotted something that made his mouth water, a dead rat lying on the ground. A few crows had already gathered to eat but Krak swiftly landed among them and crowed his superiority and right to the carrion. With sulky looks in his direction the crows watched as he pecked his fill of the meal. He nearly ate the whole thing but remembered the macaw at his nest. The diet of macaws was unknown to him but it was worth a try to feed her and if she didn't want to eat the rat he could find something else. So to the crows' dismay he picked the rat up in his beak and continued on his way back home. When he made it the rat was sat down a few inches in front of the nest while the tansy was dropped inside of it with the sick macaw, he himself alighted beside the rat. "Eat the flowers of the tansy, will help with your fever. Krak Krak! I also have a rat for you to eat." He was half hoping that the macaw wouldn't want the rat, it would mean more for him eat. She looks at the crow with a bit of a pleasant stare. She was glad he had come back, although, what he came back with made her stomach turn quite a bit. He had brought home a rat. A rat which she will refuse to eat, but will anyways. "I'm not exactly a rat eating macaw, but I can definitely use the nutrition." She bends down and takes the rat with her beak. How do I eat this? I can't exactly ask the question because it will make me sound stupid... So Rosa tries her best and roles the rat in her beak. All she tasted was the disgusting guts of it and it's soft skin sticking to the edge of her beak. She dare not look at the male while she was eating, for she was afraid of his future comment of if 'she is doing it wrong.' From what she's seen on TV while watching her owner eat his cereal while observing Animal Planet, the birds usually gulp their food. So she tried it and it fell lazily down her throat. Rosa gasps for air as the rat fell no where near her stomach, making her choke. Oh God this is embarrassing!! The next step of being a carnivorous bird must take place, she jerks her head back in forth, forcing the rat to go down her tiny throat. It finally made it to her stomach and the taste of it lingered in her mouth. It was absolutely disgusting. She shakes her head is disgust and licks the inside of her beak to rid the taste. She then looks up at the crow who seemed confused by the way she ate the rat. Maybe the flower will do me good...and take away that disgusting taste. Rosa is so use to the forest fruits and nuts and her owners last mix of store bought and home grown fruits and nuts that she despised the taste of meat, or even the site of it. She looks at the flower and cocks her head. Now how is she suppose to eat the flower? What is she to do with it? She looks up at him with her feather flared from the taste of the rat, "So what do I do with this flower?"Word Count| 382 KEY:- "i'm talking" #3c992f

Krakarak watched the macaw try to eat the rat he'd given her. For some reason she was awkward and reluctant to eat. What was wrong? Was she so opposed to carrion that the rat was literally getting caught in her throat? Strange. If she didn't want it why not just say so. He'd be perfectly happy finishing off her portion as well. He was going to say as much but she continued her strange way of eating her meal and the more he watched the more funny it became. His confused look became one of smugness. The dark eyes in his head held a look of mirth as he watched the female attempt to eat. Was she some sort of pampered pet? Now that he thought about it since when had he seen such a large and brightly colored bird out in the wild? Never. The ones that he had seen were in pet stores --until recently, of course-- but never out on their own. Unbelievable! No wonder she had been almost dead. Her master must have died and now she had no way to take care of herself. It was a pity really. Such lovely feathers but no way to stay alive. He just needed to get that shiny book off of her and send her on her way as soon as possible. A low croak of cawing laughter came out of his beak when the female asked how to eat the flower. Was she serious? Completely serious? How did she not know how to eat? Sure it was a flower and not in their natural diet but how could she not know how to eat it? Unbelievable! "Kraahahaha! You silly macaw, were you some sort of pampered house-pet? You just eat it! Use your beak! Peck at the petals and eat it! Kraaahahaha!" He laughed again but finally he managed to calm himself down and peck a little meat from the remainder of the carcass. All the while he was still aware of the bird before him lest she still not know how to feed. Krakarak was not the best teacher nor was he the most patient so anything beyond his laughter would probably not be good. Key:- "i'm talking"
